Maria began her career with The New England by working for their flagship General Agency Baystate Financial Services Agency, formerly known as the Wilson, Bergstrom and Denton (WBD) General Agency. Maria started as a brokerage director with WBD earning brokerage sales awards throughout New England. Being named Rookie of the Year in her first year. She went on to continuously earn Brokerage Manager of the Year awards until she later went on to be a personal producer. She was a Leaders producer for most of her career as an agent for WBD. She was also awarded the Downing and Desautels Award for her community service work and was the recipient of the Blue Vase for outstanding sales and retention as an agent for WBD.
After being a captive agent with The New England, Maria went on her own and formed Montuori Financial Services, Inc. She opened her own independent agency in her hometown of Winchester, MA. She owned and operated this business for sixteen years to serve individuals, families and businesses and helped them with their insurance and investment needs. In addition, she started a property and casualty agency operating under the name of Montuori Insurance Agency, Inc. She owned this company which was soon spun off to another independent agency.
After Montuori Financial Services, Inc. Maria returned to work in downtown Boston for MassMutual working as a Brokerage Director and Sales Manager. She managed producers and brokers and helped them build their businesses. She is active with women’s athletics at Boston College serving as a mentor to female student athletes. She is a member of the Fulton Society and active in the Dexter Southfield Parents Association. Maria is a graduate of Boston College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She was a two sport athlete attending on a dual athletic scholarship. While at Boston College, she was an All-American soccer player and All-Regional softball player. She was also inducted into the Winchester Sports Foundation Hall of Fame
